Disco Bitches' Concept: SKATE or FAIL

Disco Bitches' Concept

Mudd: The Game -

SKATE or FAIL

Concept:

Top down skateboarding game.  Player must skate to class, avoiding other people and obstacles.

Controls:

Gameplay:

Should be like "Paperboy" or "Back to the Future" for the NES where you are constantly moving. During gameplay the player is centered in the screen. Whichever direction the player is facing is the direction the screen will scroll for movement. So if the player is facing left the screen will be scrolling to expose more of what is in the left direction. The player will be constantly moving in the forward direction at a rate that will increase each level. Since the world is supposed to represent Mudd, there are limits to how far to the left, right, top, and bottom the player can travel in the game.

Levels consist of going from rooms to classes within a set amount of time.If you miss class, you fail/lose. Each level has a clearly defined goal location. Once the player reaches that location they go to the next level. Each level has the player traveling at a faster rate and more obsticals to avoid. The obsticals can be potholes, missing cement, water, F&M carts etc. Coliding with obsticals just incures the delay penalty of the player getting back on the skateboard and the nearest path. If the player runs out of time before reaching the goal they must start the level over from the starting location.
