Abstract:
Last summer work continued on our quest to bring E85
students a sketch-based circuit design tool.
We focused on the problem of stroke
grouping--the ability to decide which strokes should be grouped
together into a single symbol, such as an AND gate or a wire. We also
discovered patterns in the way people draw diagrams in different
circumstances that can be used to aid recognition. We'll present our algorithms (diverse and interesting!),
our results (surprisingly good! usually...), and the future of this and
other
projects at this week's colloquium.
