Abstract:
Six students worked with Professor Keller on the Intelligent Music Software project over the summer of 2008, with goals related to enhancing Impro-Visor, an instructional music software tool used by jazz improvisers. We will report on advances made in the areas of visualizing and teaching chord voicings, data mining and editing chord style accompaniment, and machine learning of improvisational grammars.
