How to use Rational Development Studio for UNIX

Rational Development Studio for UNIX is installed in /usr/local/rational. To use, first you must set up your environment:

  • For tcsh or csh, 'source /usr/local/rational/rs_setup.csh'. You can add this line to your .cshrc file if you like.
  • For ksh or bash, 'source /usr/local/rational/rs_setup.ksh'.
Some of the programs are memory hungry, so you might want to 'unlimit' (or just change the datasize and stacksize limits).

Note that the docs linked into the qrefs have some nice intro material and release notes, but do not contain user's manuals for this stuff. For complete user's manuals, see:

http://www.rational.com/sitewide/support/manuals/index.jtmpl

Note that the NT-based Web Interface Products (RequisiteWeb and ClearQuestWeb) are not currently installed.
