  1. Place chicken breast halves between pieces of waxed paper or plastic wrap and pound to an even 1/4-inch thickness.
  2. Pin a large skillet, cook sliced onion in butter and olive oil until softened, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Remove onion from skillet. Add chicken to skillet; cook for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until browned and no longer pink.
  4. Place toasted bread slices on a large baking sheet; spread each slice with 1 teaspoon steak sauce.
  5. Top each slice of bread with a cooked chicken breast half, a slice of cheese, two slices of cooked bacon, and onion slices.
  6. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 1 or 2 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  7. Serves 4
