The late-work policy for this class is different for each type of work.
There is a quiz when we complete each chapter. If you are sick, notify me as soon as you know you will miss class and I will make alternate arrangements. Quizzes missed for other reasons cannot normally be made up. However, the lowest quiz score of the semester is thrown out, so in essence you get one free missed quiz.
The majority of labs will be started in the laboratory. It is your responsibility to complete the labs and turn them in on time. Each lab includes one automatic "late day" that allows you to submit up to 24 hours late. To use a late day, e-mail the professors before the assignment is due. Note that late days do not accumulate throughout the semester.
There is no written homework.
Extensions for certified emergencies will be treated individually.
