Late-Work Policy

The late-work policy for this class is different for each type of work.

Quizzes

There is a quiz when we complete each chapter. If you are sick, notify me as soon as you know you will miss class and I will make alternate arrangements. Quizzes missed for other reasons cannot normally be made up. However, the lowest quiz score of the semester is thrown out, so in essence you get one free missed quiz.

Labs

The majority of labs will be started in the laboratory. Labs are due at the beginning of lab (1:15 PM) on the due date given on the class calendar. It is your responsibility to complete the labs and turn them in on time.

You are granted three automatic lab late days to use during the semester; you may not use more than one of these days for a given lab. To use a late day, simply submit your work up to 24 hours after the due time; we will track the late days for you. A late submission counts as a late day for both partners. Furthermore, you may only use a late day if both partners have one available. That restriction will be especially relevant after the mid-semester partner change; if one partner has already used up all their late days and the other has used none, late submissions will not be accepted. We strongly encourage you to conserve your late days during the early labs, both so that they will be available to use with your second partner, and because the early labs are the easiest—you are more likely to need a late day in the second half of the semester than in the first.

Homework

There is no written homework.

Extensions

Extensions for certified emergencies will be treated individually.
