Your course grade is determined by a summation of all the points
acquired during the semester:

labs
There are from 6 to 8 required labs. Each lab has a predefined
point value.
Some labs are graded by an automatic grading script, others by
grutors (guided by a rubric).
Completion of the labs is a requirement for passing the class.

quizzes & abstracts
Are graded by grutors using a rubric:

Plus - 10 points - perfect
-
Check - 7 points - some minior imperfection
-
Minus - 2 points - on the wrong page

Zero - 0 - did not show up

The Final
Graded by me. Each problem is assigned a number of points.
Partial credit is possible.

Extra Credit Labs
These labs also have a defined set of points.
Some have an automatic grading script; others are graded by a
grutor using a rubric.
Course Grade
The final letter grade is determined as:
- >92% - A
- >80% - B
- >70% - C
Grading System
We will use the CS 5 grading system to post grades. This system allows each
student to monitor their own grades.
