Other than the ever present risk of poor time management, we see our
primary risks as insufficient MIDI I/O capabilities in Java and a
possibility that the user interface may become unwieldy.
To combat the MIDI problem, we are going to research the MIDI capabilities
of Java early on. If they are insufficient to our needs, we will contact
our client as soon as possible and tell them which of the MIDI related
features we will be able to implement.
To make sure that the user interface does not become unwieldy, i.e.,
end up having to many buttons and modifier keys, we are trying to consider
ways to consolidate related functions into a limited but still fully
functional set of modifier keys and buttons.
