When you use Together DOORSIntegration to transfer data or navigate between DOORS and Together, you need to establish a data connection between DOORS and Together. You do this by starting a Together DOORSIntegration session. This section explains how to do this.
You need to start a DOORSIntegration server session in order for Together and DOORS to communicate. During a session, Together acts as host and DOORS as client. You can only start a session from Together. You can end a session from either system. Ending a session only closes the communications channel between Together and DOORS. It doesn't shut down DOORS or Together.
You must initiate a session to create a new surrogate module in DOORS, or to update and existing surrogate module.
To start a Together DOORSIntegration session:
Start both Together and DOORS
Open the Together project that will exchange data with DOORS.
In Together, click the Modules tab of the Explorer (
).
Expand the System node, then the Doors Link node to display the various modules.
Right-click Start Server and choose Run.
Your Together DOORSIntegration session is automatically ended when you exit from DOORS. You can also end your session at any time by clicking DOORSConnect, then Together, then Stop Session.
To end the session using Together:
In Together, click the Modules tab of the Explorer (
).
Expand the System node, then the Doors Link node to display the various modules.
Right-click Stop Server and choose Run.
