There are two components to Together DOORSIntegration:
These are discussed in the sections below. To use the DOORS integration, you need an installation of DOORS, and an installation of a Together product that comes with the DOORSIntegration plug-in. You can find current product information at the TogetherSoft website (see the Welcome topic for addresses).
The Together DOORSIntegration Plug-in for DOORS enables your DOORS system to interact with Together. You must install the plug-in to your DOORS installation in order for DOORS to interact with Together. After this installation, a DOORSConnect command appears on the main menu in DOORS. You use this menu to interact with Together from within DOORS.
To find the plug-in installer, you must first install a Together product with DOORSIntegration support. The installer program for the plug-in is located in the %TOGETHER_HOME%\lib\DoorsIntegration directory of the Together installation. Information on how to install and configure the plug-in is provided in the readme.txt file supplied with the plug-in. The installer program file is: TDL.exe (for Win32 operating systems only).
Together includes a set of executable programs (called modules) that support Together DOORSIntegration integration from inside Together. When Together is running, you can find them in the Modules tab of the Together Explorer when you expand the System node of the Modules treeview.

The DOORSIntegration modules in the Together Explorer |
When you have everything set up for Together DOORSIntegration, you can run the modules from this location. You should install the Together DOORSIntegration Plug-in to your DOORS system before running any of the modules.
The modules provide navigation and data exchange from Together to DOORS. The names are:
Find object in Doors: finds the DOORS object that corresponds to the selected modeling element in Together.
Send to Doors: exports the selected modeling element or model in an open Together project to DOORS (see "Getting Started: About the Surrogate Module").
Start server: establishes a data connection with DOORS and starts a server session in which Together acts as host and DOORS as client.
Stop server: stops the current server session started with Start Server.
Synchronize module in Doors: updates the DOORS module with changes in the Together project (see also "Getting Started: Keeping Surrogate Modules Current").
