Modeling components

View, adapt, and reuse more than 60 domain-specific enterprise modeling components with color archetypes. You can optionally include the components' package when you create a new Together project by checking the Include Components option in the New Project dialog, or add it to any existing project by checking the same option in the Project Properties dialog (File | Project Properties).

Here's how to check them out:

  1. Open the project $TOGETHER_HOME$/modules/components/all.tpr.

  2. Expand the All node .

  3. Expand one of the component packages (e.g., AccountingMgmt.Account ) until you see the classes it contains.

  4. Look for one of the class diagrams in the package and double-click to open the diagram in the Diagram pane.

You can also explore the these component packages, or create a new project in any component package. Open any of these to explore the different views provided in the various Class diagrams.

If you include the modeling components package in your project (File | Project Properties), then the Components tab in the Explorer displays the contents of the enterprise components package.

You can learn more about modeling enterprise components in color in the book Java Modeling in Color with UML: Enterprise Components and Process by Peter Coad, JeffDeLuca, and Eric Lefebvre.
