Print File dialog (File | Print File) |
You can print a file when it is open in the Editor pane. The first line in this box displays the path and file name of the file that is about to print.
Print Selection Block: Enabled only when a block of text is selected. When checked, only the selected block will be printed.
Use this section to specify the location of the output, and optional actions for the process.
Syntax print: When checked, font styles for reserved words, etc. print in the hard copy as they display on screen (bold, italic, etc.)
Use color: Check if you are using a color printer and want the on-screen color scheme replicated in your printed output.
Font size: Select the font size to be used in the printed output.
Line spacing: Select the desired amount of space to be left between lines in the printed output. Range is from 0.3 to 2.0 lines; default is 1 line.
Print Options: Launches the Options dialog at the Project level displaying only the Print page. You can change any of the configuration options before printing the file. Note that your changes will persist at the Project configuration level after the print job finishes. If you only want to change settings temporarily for the process, choose Options | Project | Print after the print job is finished and reset the options to their previous values.
Preview: Toggles preview mode in which a WYSIWYG preview of the printed output displays in the Print File dialog. (See next section.)
Print: Sends the file to your default system printer or print queue.
Cancel: Closes the dialog without printing the file.
In preview mode the dialog displays the following additional controls:
Update: Refreshes the WYSIWYG view, after changes to the font size or line spacing.
First: Jumps the WYSIWYG view to the first page when another page is displayed.
Previous: Jumps the WYSIWYG view to the previous page.
Next: Jumps the WYSIWYG view to the next page when there is more than one page to be printed.
Last: Jumps the WYSIWYG view to the last page when there is more than one page to be printed.
Page count: Read-only display of the number of pages in the print job
Tip: If the WYSIWYG view does not properly display color scheme and fonts, increase font size.
