After opening a project that has diagrams, you can open one or more of the diagrams for editing. Each diagram opens in its own tabbed page in the Diagram pane. Tabs display the diagram name plus an icon identifying the diagram type. (The icons correspond to those shown in the Model tab of the Explorer.) Switch between open diagrams by clicking the desired tab.
To open a diagram for editing:
Select the Model tab of the
Explorer if it is not currently selected.
In the Model
tab, find the diagram you want to open.
Right-click on the diagram in the treeview and choose Open or Open in New Tab from the speedmenu.
Tips
Icons for UML diagram types look like the UML symbol for the main element. For example, the icon for a Component diagram looks like the UML icon for a component.
You can also open diagrams from the Main menu with File | Open.
Speedmenu "Open" replaces the contents of the current diagram (if any) with the diagram you are opening.
Closing open diagrams
You can close the only the current diagram by choosing File | Close from the main menu.
You can close all open diagrams at once by choosing File | Close All from the main menu.
