Hole 19: The Haunted Hole Developed and Concept by: Team Mediocre Team Members: Andrew Yip Kevin Pang Ed Heaney Game Overview: This game consists of a single miniature golf hole. The player, who is represented by a golf club, most hit a golf ball using this golf club (which is a putter), into the hole. There will be various things to challenge the player with this which include, a haunted house, various pathways to take which may prove to be beneficial or a hindrance, and evil clowns that pop to eat the ball. The player will have a limited number of shots to sink the ball into the hole. Game Mechanics: In-Game GUI The Interface consists of a display showing the number of shots the player has left. The player's golf club, which represents the player, and the ball, which is the golf ball the player is supposed to hit into the hole. Control Summary (taken from adventure golf demo) Rotate: While holding down the left mouse button: Make small circles with the mouse to rotate the putter around the ball. Swing: While holding down the right mouse button: Slowly move the mouse up and down to control the putter. When you're ready to swing, hit the ball with the desired velocity. Left and Right - Rotate the camera around the ball. Up and Down - Zoom the camera in and out. Game Elements: The game will consist of the player starting off at the start of the hole. He or she must then hit the ball into the hole in a number of swings. In the path of this are various things to hinder or help the player. A realistic physics engine will govern the motions of the ball. Some of the paths may involve evil clowns popping up and hitting the ball, and various pathways will challenge the player. Their will also be a haunted house, which if the ball is hit into, will help the player. Scoring: The player wins when they get the ball in the hole. The number of strokes it takes, subtracted from the total number of strokes allowed will determine the player's score. Future Improvements: More then just evil clowns popping out. Better golf club control interface. 2 Player? Multi Player.
