Our miniature golf hole will have a "Haunted Corral" theme. There are fences, bales of hay, and a ball-stealing Phantom Mule.
The hole will be rectangular. From the tee at the lower right, you must make it to the hole at the upper left, while navigating through a twisting, 'S'-shaped path. Each segment of the path will feature its own combination of the afore-mentioned obstacles.
The window will show a view of the course, centered around the ball. You will be able to rotate the camera. There will be a running total of strokes taken in the lower-right corner and a power meter in the lower left.
The club may be dragged to aim it with the left mouse button. The right mouse button, when pressed the first time, will start the power meter oscillating up and down. Press the right mouse button again when the power is at the desired level.
The arrow keys will rotate and zoom the course (as in Adventure Golf). Note that when rotating, the club will maintain its position relative to the camera (so that rotating left will make the aim go to the right).
The only AI is the Phantom Mule, which will periodically appear and disappear (into the mist).
The game consists of one level. You have an unlimited number of strokes to make it to the hole. Once you have hit your ball in the hole, the game is over; your score will be displayed.
There will be two main forces in the game, all of which affect the ball (and only the ball). We will not be using gravity, since there will be no change of elevation within our course. First is friction -- both the ground and the air will slow the ball down. Finally, we have momentum -- the ball will be given momentum based on the initial power, and will lose momentum due to friction. In addition, the collision with the hay bales will be quite in-elastic, resulting in a significant loss of momentum.
