CS121: Software Development

Project 1: Prototype

In the next week you'll plan and build a prototype of your game.
  1. Define your prototype:
The prototype should realize your main use cases. It is not necessary to have well-tuned physics and UI, cool graphics, sounds, and mega-levels. But you should have a core game that resolves the major risks of your project. Include a description of the prototype in your ProjectStatement wiki page. Include the prototype milestone on your ProjectMilestones wiki page.
  2. Delegate work:
Decide who is going to do what by when. You may want to have team members prototype various features of your game, then collectively integrate the features and test the result. Whatever your plan, include each milestones (and who is responsible for the milestone) on your ProjectMilestones page.
  3. Individual effort:
Each team member should complete their assignment by the due time. Document your individual effort including times you worked and what you accomplished on your IndividualLog.
  4. Meeting:
You will need to meet at least once and probably more than once during the next week. Schedule your meetings then summarize your discussion and decisions on your MeetingMinutes wiki page.
You will demo your prototype in class one week from today. (You will not give a formal presentation at that time.)
