I worked on developing the pool table in Milkshape. A preliminary table is done and will be posted soon. Improvements are being made towards a more functional and better looking table. The removal of the y-axis in ball movement is under discussion, and will probably not happen. It will be easier to just leave it in and just never do anything that will require the balls to move vertically. Some obscure collisions will also look more realistic, such as bouncing off corners of pockets and up into the air. This also leaves open the possibility of jumping the cue ball.

A pool table much better than any that I can design from scratch was found on the internet at 3dcafe.com. It has no textures, just colors. I think it's also huge. Going to convert to our text format and test it out.

New pool table is up, but has holes all over it. It seems the triangles' orientations are in random directions. Loading an extra triangle in the opposite direction for every one that is input will solve this problem, though it doubles the triangle count. It's better than picking through the entire model to switch triangles individually.

Textures are loaded for the table, a few different types of wood for the edges and pockets, and felt for the table. The edges of the playing surface are pretty hard to see without lighting effects.

Implemented the ability to move the cue ball when stopped. This is not exclusive to the cases of a break and scratch, but it allows the player to move the cue ball anywhere on the table. This is consistent with the assumption that the players can govern themselves on the rules of the game. I switched zoom in/out to the keys "+" and "-" as this is more intuitive. The cue ball movement is now using the keys "w" "a" "s" "d" for forward, left, back, right relative the initial table view. In other words, they alter the x and z coordinates directly, independent of the current view angle.

I wrote up the final report, user guide, and presentation slides by myself, as the others' grades are already in. Also updated UML diagram.
