Mark R. Wilkins is currently a technical director at DreamWorks Animation where he helped develop a production pipeline for effects and character animation. In addition, Wilkins provides training and technical assistance to animators throughout the production process. He is currently working with animators on the upcoming features Over the Hedge and Flushed Away. He most recently served as a lighting technical director for the studio's recent hit Madagascar.

Prior to joining DreamWorks, Wilkins worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation in a variety of positions including software engineer and scene setup supervisor. His credits include the features Dinosaur and Hercules. In the live action realm, Wilkins has contributed his visual effects expertise to a number of films, including Minority Report, Artificial Intelligence: AI, The Legend of Bagger Vance and Mission Impossible II.

Wilkins graduated with a degree in Physics from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA.
