The Midterm Exam will include ~ten (multi-part) questions, based on the learning
objectives for all of the reading assignments and lectures up to this point.
Most of these questions will have been discussed in the reading or in class,
and can be answered in one or two sentences (or with a fairly simple drawing).

There will also be an extra credit question, that asks you to apply discussed
principles to situations beyond those discussed in the reading or class.
