Figure out how to implement saving and loading

use pickle or make all of our game variables Settings objects and just save and load those from the appropriate file?
do we need to support more than one saved game?
might be easiest to use pickle. Need to figure out how to get all of our variables into container classes or data structures though... maybe just pickling the managers will be enough?
