CS 131: Programming Languages

Class Meeting Times

In-class practical learning sessions (times to work specifically on course assignments and labs):

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:35am – 10:50am Pacific Time, in MCSC 203 / 204

Course format: This is a flipped class. You'll spend time outside of class focusing on theoretical learning (by engaging with online content) and time in class focusing on synthesizing theoretical and practical learning by working on assignments and problems on your own, with a partner, or in small groups.

Office Hours and Grutoring

Office hours and grutoring are in person in MCSC 203 / 204 (the computer labs where we have class).

  • Prof. Bang: Mondays 10:30am – 11:30am, or by appointment.
  • Grutors: schedule to be announced.

Absence and Extension Forms

If you need to miss class or need an extension, please fill out these forms. For more complex absences and extensions, feel free to email the instructor or make appointments as necessary.

One-day extensions. You can always take a one-day, no-questions-asked extension on any homework, but please keep in mind that regularly keeping up with deadlines will help you have the best experience in CS 131. When you need the flexibility, please let us know:

Filling out this form does not automatically grant you an arbitrary, no-penalty extension — it just lets us know that you need one.
