A tiny moon in orbit wide
Affects nought but ebb and tide
 And when attractive forces cease
 Then travel smooth upon release
 And soon another body found
 To establish an orbit around

But when the moon is tightly bound
 Its sovereignty no longer sound
Could crack if catch unfriendly gaze
Or blinded in a loving haze
And when the light rejects the orb
 No happiness may it absorb

In darkness is it forced to dwell
No more to have its feelings swell
A shadow on its single face
 A forlorn voyager in space
 Alone and lost in emptiness
No light to pierce its bitterness
