On cristmas eve, one year, a woman's junky sister whom she hasn't seen in two years shows up at her house with a baby girl. The woman takes care of the child after her junky sister ditches. The child is supposedly Autistic, but we all know it is more then that. The child is special in many a religios way. Six years pass. Parallel to this a recent rash of child murders has swept the city. the satanists, with the help of the mother, kidnap the child and try to convince her to side with the devil. it is the standard fight between good and evil. oh, what will the out come be?
- ChrisPries our modern day special effects add to this movie. The acting in the opening scenes is horrible. but it gets better as the movie progresses. i found there to be a touch too much catholic influence for me, but it was not a bad movie. Many people complain that there is too much religious symbolism in this movie. i disagree. i think that, while the symbolism is so thick that you can cut it with a knife, that it really helps this movie stand out amoung many. with-out it this would be just any other movie. I esspecially liked the way they often altered reality with visions of the spiritual world, without actual physical interaction. i think that should have been brought out a little more. and that is why i have some grivence about the end. not the best movie, but i would be willing to see it again some time.
