-- Call for proposals to the Baker and Rose Hills Foundation funds: Summer 2011 -- Colleagues - Proposals for internal funding to the Baker and Rose Hills foundations are now being accepted by the HMC research committee on behalf of the DOF. These funding sources offer support of student research with HMC faculty advisors for summer 2011. These funds provide $500/week student stipends (less overhead) for up to 10 weeks of student work. In addition, both Baker and Rose Hills offer modest faculty-discretionary funds of $1000 for any project-related use. Details and instructions for submitting proposals are available at http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~dodds/rcomm The deadline for receipt of these proposals is Friday 7 Jan 2011. That site also links to proposal calls by - Biology's HHMI grant to support collaborations with the biological sciences - the Center for Environmental Studies, for student projects with HMC advisors Cathy McFadden and Dick Haskell, respectively, have more information about these programs.
