Girl Scouts

I have been a girl scout for 14 years. In high school I earned Girl Scout awards for completing over 300 hours of service. I earned the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting, by writing a book to help teenage girls deal with their feelings. In college I have continued working with the Girl Scout community. I am the Older Girl consultant for the Claremont area. This involves helping the leaders of older girls plan activities. In addition I act as a camping consultant for the leaders of the council.

I bring two groups, the Society of Women Engineers and the Girl Scouts together. The Harvey Mudd SWE section will be working with the local brownies to help them earn the Science Magic Try It.
