Places people go for food:
Meals:
- Aruffo's: Italian. Claremont Village. Great appetizer platter.
- To say nothing of the entrees!
- B.C. Cafe. Standard breakfast fare, but way yummier. Good when you've been up long enough for them to be open again (6am). Indian Hill and the 10.
- Also, a ways east on Foothill near Vineyard (??) -- at any rate on the way to Rancho Cucamonga
- Bombay Bistro: Indian food, near Central and Arrow.
- Best samosas and chicken korma I've had. The chicken 65, onion bahji and darn near everything else are excellent as well.
- Buca di Beppo: Italian. On Foothill, just past Indian Hill.
- China Star: Chinese. Just before Foothill and Mountain (Claremont).
- Chipotle: Yummy burritos and such. Foothill and San Antonio.
- Free sodas for 5C students.
- As far as I can tell, any Chipotle will give a free drink with a student ID.
- Darvish: Middle Eastern. Also on Foothill, between Mountain (Claremont) and Towne.
- Very interesting cuisine. Best if you like sweetish things. Fesenjoon is tasty, as are chicken kebabs.
- DenNys: Cheap American diner food. Open late. West on Foothill a few miles (just under the 210).
- Also, East on Foothill a few miles in Upland. This one is technically closer, but in my experience has more druggies at night.
- Also also, Mountain at the 10.
- Euro Cafe: Mediterranean, mostly, with really good paninis. Mills and Baseline, in the Vons shopping center.
- Grapevine: Mediterranean. Gigantic portions and appetizer platters -- fairly standard restaurant prices, but you get about 3 meals for your money. On Foothill near the 210.
- Graziano's: Italian. Mountain (Upland) and ~16th.
- Inca Trails: Peruvian. Tasty, but too small for a big group. Foothill and Towne.
- In 'n Out: Fast food burgers. East on Foothill past Central, or West on Foothill to D Street.
- Los Jarritos: Mexican. Garey and Foothill. Inexpensive and tasty.
- Alternate location: Mountain (Upland) and Foothill, I think.
- MixBowl?: They deliver. I don't know where they are.
- Thai Orchid Garden: Thai. West on Foothill for a bit, on the right. Inexpensive and crazy delicious. Good curry, fried rice, broccoli.
- Veggie Panda Wok (recently renamed Veggie Era?) -- vegan food. Tasty, tasty vegan food. Tasty even if you're not vegan. Not for those allergic to soy.
- Yiannis Greek Restaurant: It's a trap. Prices are high, food is severely overspiced, and the service and atmosphere are inadequate.
Not full meals:
- 21 Choices: Incredible frozen yogurt with toppings mixed in. Takes ClaremontCash?.
