During Thanksgiving 2007, there was an EastieThanksgiving event being held in the Linde Lounge. During the cleanup of said event, someone threw a dry ice bomb into the lounge. The subsequent explosion (which was mostly "extremely loud sound") gave at least one person permanent hearing loss, and led to the specific mention of "Dry Ice Bombs" in the "don't do X" section of Freshman Orientation subsequent years.
