• Well, Shadow of the Giant did just come out... that seems like it would make a good reason to celebrate it by actually doing this.
  • OMFG! I didn't realize that it would actually get released *on time*, so I'm caught ridiculously off-guard. I guess tomorrow I'll be moving into Borders or something so I can read it without buying the hardcover. *drools in anticipation*--DanCicio
    • Oh, and I definitely want this to happen sometime, especially since it was half my idea, anyway.--Dan

The two main issues I see with this are:

• When do we want to do it?
• What order do we want to read the books in?
  • Corollary: Do we want to read all 7 books or not?

Also, I'm not going to list the chapters until I know about the interest level and whether or not people are interested in the whole series or not, as well as the desired order.

When?

• All I know is that I'd like to do it this semester and the end of spring break is bad for me. I doubt it can get completely organized for the beginning of spring break, so we'll probably have to wait a little while. Any ideas on good weekends?--DanCicio

What order?

• If I had to choose the order, I'd probably go with Ender's Game, the (current) Shadow series, then the Speaker for the Dead trilogy. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has other preferences.--DanCicio

  • Same. I'd read for Speaker, too - there are a few absolutely awe-inspiring scenes in that one, too. For order, I'd be inclined to say chronological. That is, Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, the rest of the Shadow series, then the rest of the Ender series. Or possibly just Speaker. --AdamField
