Editing MasalaChai
Spiced, milky, Indian tea goodness. Often uses spices like cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, peppercorns, cloves, and anise, along with milk, sugar, and (of course) black tea. FrancesHocutt's recipe (draft): *2 c. milk *2 c. water *tea for 4 cups liquid *cardamom (about 7 pods) *4 cloves *4 black peppercorns *1 cinnamon stick *anise star *ginger (a few slivers) *honey or sugar to taste Grind up all the spices and break up the cinnamon stick. Put everything in a pot. Heat on medium until the milk starts to simmer and rise in the pan, then turn it down and simmer for 5-10 minutes. JonathanBeall's recipie: Similar to FrancesHocutt's, but only one clove, at least 2x as many peppercorns, and I boil the spices (minus the tea) in the water for 6ish minutes before adding milk and tea.
