When presented in a colloquium it makes about 25 people in the audience think "I'm glad I took FieldsAndWaves" while the other half think "I'm glad I didn't take FieldsAndWaves." Do you know Feynman diagrams for point particles? Send points to loops and sheets (worldlines go to worldsheets, etc.). Ask ProfessorSahakian for help. A StringTheory lecture given by ProfessorSahakian in EastDorm during the fall of 2003 still lives fresh in my mind. RachelZhang is the only student in ProfessorSahakian's lab. It seems to be an interesting experience.
