Growing

Xandie continues to develop and get bigger. She weighs over 12 pounds now, smack dab in the middle of the growth charts, and has started smiling.

Actually, she's giving Xandie her first "real" haircut (we cut her bangs when she was just a couple of weeks old).

After the haircut, we visited Grandma Crandall, who had patiently waited more than two months to meet her new granddaughter. I guess she thinks the wait was worthwhile!

Milestones

Unlike some parents, we don't swell with pride every time our cute daughter does something a little bit ahead of time. Oh no, not us. For example, we'd never brag about how she can already stand on her own
Standing freely for a moment
(at least for the half-second it took to snap the picture) or dance with her daddy

or read the paper and comment on world events.

Actually, her accomplishments are right on target for her age. She's a bit slow about holding her head up when on her tummy, and a bit ahead about supporting her own weight when standing. Guess she's gonna be a soccer player!
