Xandie continues to develop and get bigger. She weighs over 12 pounds
now, smack dab in the middle of the growth charts, and has started
smiling.
Pat decided to do a little surgery.
Actually, she's giving Xandie her first "real" haircut (we
cut her bangs when she was just a couple of weeks old).
After the haircut, we visited Grandma Crandall, who had patiently
waited more than two months to meet her new granddaughter. I guess
she thinks the wait was worthwhile!
Unlike some parents, we don't swell with pride every time our cute
daughter does something a little bit ahead of time. Oh no, not us.
For example, we'd never brag about how she can already stand on her
own
(at least for the half-second it took to snap the picture) or dance
with her daddy
or read the paper and comment on world events.
Actually, her accomplishments are right on target for her age. She's
a bit slow about holding her head up when on her tummy, and a bit
ahead about supporting her own weight when standing. Guess she's
gonna be a soccer player!
