Xandie made her first visit to a formal portrait studio, and one of the benefits was that they gave us a disk with some of the pictures. One of drawbacks was that they deliberately doctored the pictures to make them imperfect, but Xandie's own perfection sort of makes up for that, don't you think? Here are the better shots, without comments:
| Xandie has been visiting with some relatives. Little Nick is starting to figure out that he has a fun cousin, and Uncle Brad and Aunt Patty are obviously great people to be with. |
| Aunt Carolyn came down from Seattle for a quick weekend, so we took her out to lunch in downtown Claremont. |
After lunch, we went to the hardware store, where Xandie just had to
try out the Radio Flyer on display.
Carolyn also brought along a very cute Halloween costume, which Xandie loved (it was especially charming when she was crawling and you could see the tail). |
Xandie has continued to learn lots of new tricks. Some of the best are vocal, but we'll spare you the audio files (mainly because we don't yet have a system for putting them on the Web!). But there are still plenty of physical ones as well.
| Her biggest accomplishment has been learning to crawl. She now chases us (and the cats) around the house, laughing the whole time. |
| She learned about high chairs, and experimented (sloppily) with drinking from a cup. |
| She still wants to sleep on her face, though. |
| |
| And she's still small enough to fit in a fruit basket! |
