Pictures of Alexandra, Posted 11/22/99
Okay, we admit it. We've been very lax about scanning in new
pictures. Life has been busy, as you'll see from some of these
shots. But we apologize anyway, and promise to try to do better.
Summer Vacation
The previous pictures showed our
early-summer vacation. Later, we went to Seattle to spend time with
Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Alan.
|
One of the highlights of the Seattle trip came when we visited a
farm in Carnation, Washington. Xandie got to see lots of
animals. The goat was especially friendly.

|
Sports
|
Alexandra has also taken up a couple of sports. Basketball was a
big hit (though she refused to actually throw the ball). She
wasn't sure about the slide, though. "Are you sure this thing is
safe, Mommy?"

|
Later, we took her to Daddy's secret fishing hole: the Mount Baldy
Trout Farm. Unlike her father, she turned out to have a natural
talent. The pole was too clumsy for her, so she just charmed the
fish right out of the water!

Clothes
|
We mentioned in the last set of pictures
that Alexandra has
something of a shoe fetish. On the left, she is showing off her
newest acquisition. On the right, she demonstrates that Daddy's
shoes are still her favorite, perhaps because it doesn't matter
which foot they go on.
|
|
|
Of course, shoes aren't the only fascination for this little
clothes-horse. Xandie gave Daddy some Dr. Seuss boxers for
Father's Day, but apparently it was a rather selfish gift. And
when she puts her sunglasses on, she becomes as Hollywood as one
can get. "I love ya, baby, and I promise you'll get a juicy part
in my next flick."
|
|
|
Sometimes Xandie models her own creations, such as the tremendously
attractive hat shown below. It's especially useful when she wants
to escape autograph-hungry fans. (Note that she has again
"borrowed" some shoes from Daddy. He's been barefoot a lot lately!)

Music Time
|
Xandie is already showing musical inclinations. Her position at
the piano is impeccable.
But as you can see, she deeply resents being forced to practice.
|
|
|
Sometimes she gives Daddy musical pointers.

A Wonderful Face
|
In our completely unprejudiced opinion, Xandie has a lovely smile.
Here are some shots of her at her best:
|
|
|
|
Of course, even Xandie's face can occasionally become imperfect.
One day she decided that it would be a good idea to drink from the
yogurt cup. As you can see, the result was somewhat more than she
expected.
