Pictures of Alexandra, Posted 6/18/01

OK, we admit it. We've been seriously amiss, having let over a year slip by without posting any Xandie pix. Please e-mail your wrist slaps to Geoff. What can we say? We've been having too much fun playing and watching her grow.

That Impish Grin

Like many 3-year-olds, Xandie has mercurial moods. Sometimes she refuses to let us take her picture; other times she can't wait to pose. She has become very aware of the camera, which can make it difficult to get a "natural" shot. Here are some examples of Xandie showing off how cute she can be.

With a shirt
over her head Whether acting up... With socks
on the wrong limbs ...or modeling new stuff, Xandie always enjoys herself. In a
	  new raincoat

With an
exhausted Mom Of course, her parents are ready for bed long before she wears out. Ready for bed

Riding with an Easter friend Here, she's taking a friend for a wagon ride just after her birthday.

Presents and Parties

One of the pleasures of having a child (or a grandchild) is in watching them with new things, especially toys you yourself enjoyed in your youth. Xandie's family and friends try to exert self-control -- really, we do! But she still seems to stay entertained.

With a brand-new ball Even something as simple as a ball or a scooter is a treat to a kid... A red scooter for
	  Christmas!

...although daddies sometimes want a bit more for their offspring.

Or the games? Or the food?
The birthday cake Nummm,

Magic

One of the great things about being a kid is that it's magical. You can be a princess... In a
princess dress made by Aunt Patty ...or a very nonchalant butterfly, whenever you want. Xandie in

Speaking of magic, the "music fairy" visited Xandie a few days ago and brought her a real violin. We hope to have some pictures of that very soon (we hope it will take us less than a year!).
