The StoryNot long after I started my first real job, one coworker/friend complained that she wished it would rain. We were living in the dessert, so rain was fairly rare. So I toook it upon myself to make it happn. I painted recycle bin white paper to a lovely shade of blue color, then cut out raindrops, threaded them with white thread and hung them from her ceiling. I hung an umbrella over her desk chair, but unfortunately, it was hit by paper lightning. I also logged into her computer and set it up to play a playlist of rain-themed music when she booted it up. She loved it and kept it up for almost a year, even taking the time to move everything when she moved offices. |
