Investigations are short assignments designed to have you explore the topics we discuss in class in a little more detail. The investigations are listed below; please follow the submission guidelines below.
- Investigation 1: Everyday Things, Due Monday, Sept 10
- Investigation 2: Observing Users and Discovering Tasks, Due Friday, Sept 21, 5pm
- Investigation 3: Simple Interface Design, Due Friday, Sept 28, 5pm
- Investigation 4: Prototype Construction and Testing, Due Wednesday, Oct 3 (prototype) and Wednesday, Oct 10 (final)
- Investigation 5: Speech and Natural Language, Due Wednesday, Oct 31
- Investigation 6: Interface Agents, Due Monday, Nov 19
- Investigation 7: Ubiquitous Computing, Due Monday, Dec 3
- Investigation 8: Pen-Based UIs, Due Friday, Dec 14, 5pm (officially)
Submission Guidelines
Investigations are due electronically, in pdf or Word format, in your dropbox on Sakai before class on the day they are due (or by the time indicated above). Late assignments will not be accepted. Seriously. You should name your file with the investigation number and your last name. For example, my investigation 1 file would be called "I1Alvarado.doc". Please follow these naming conventions to ensure that your assignments do not get lost.
