Santa Maria, Sal Island

Beautiful sunset seen from the plane from Lisbon to Sal.

Santa Maria is a tiny town on the south end of the island.

Although the town itself is rather dusty and dirty, near the beach it is full of beautiful resorts and luxury apartments. The dock is incredibly idyllic with all the fisherman's boats.

White sand beaches and apparently some good surfing in certain areas.
