Optional substitution: Claremont Robotics Contest Judging
On Friday, April 24, 2009 is the Claremont School District robot contest, involving
mixed-age teams and their robots. It is at CGU's "Descombes Quadrangle" just a couple
blocks southwest of HMC.
Incentives
-
If a (nonempty!) subset of a team judges for this event, that will count as
one of the three parts of this assignment (above).
-
If at least two of the members of a team judges for this event,
that will count as one of the three parts of the assignment (as above) and will
also offer an extension on the rest of the assignment until Saturday, May 9 (any time that day).
The event runs from 11am-3pm, though judges are only needed from 11-1 (for interviews) and
from 12-2 (for timing/supervising the competitions).
Lunch will be provided.
Incentive or no, I would encourage you to consider checking out what the students have done
and helping judge the event! Plus, it's great fun!
If you're interested, please let me know -- there are ~12 judges needed overall.
