Place: LAC Riggs Room
Course Homepage: http://www.cs.hmc.edu/courses/2009/spring/cs124

Instructor Information

Prof. Christine Alvarado
Office: Olin 1241
Office Phone: x70443
Email: alvarado@cs.hmc.edu
Office Hours: Monday 11-noon, Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm, and by appointment

I have found that in the past no one can ever make it to my scheduled office hours.  So, in effort to balance regularity with convenience, I have a couple of set hours (which might change if no one comes), but if you want to meet with me outside of those times, I am happy to make an appointment.  My schedule is posted on my website, and any of the times I am not marked as busy are likely to be good times to meet, so just send me an email to set something up (or try dropping by, but I have a tendency to be out unexpectedly if I don't have appointments scheduled).   I can usually be available the same day, although scheduling at least a day in advance is better.

I encourage you to get in touch with me about any aspect of this course, or just to chat (for example, I am more than happy to talk with you about what you will do after HMC).  In general email is the best way to reach me, but I occasionally do not check email in the evening or on the weekends.  If you send me email at night I will probably respond the following morning.  For urgent matters during the day (e.g., you can't make it to class at the last minute for some reason), please call me in my office.
