Lesson 1
Our Goals for this Lesson
In our last two lessons, we looked at physical media, from spinning disks to SSDs. Now that we understand the behavior of these devices, including what is costly and what isn't, we can move to actually storing our data on them. This lesson will cover the basics of file systems, including how they organize data on disk and how they manage access to that data.
