[Home]DvdPackaging

Most DVDs come in 'keep cases', the normal plastic kind that everyone likes. WarnerBrothers? and NewLine? movies come in half-cardboard 'snapper' cases, which everyone hates because they stick out like sore thumbs on a shelf of keep cases. Nobody knows why some studios use them. Some DVDs come in special packaging, like FightClub, which comes in a cardboard package like a box of soap, or TotalRecall?, which comes in a round (Mars-shaped) tin box. Everyone agrees that a round box sucks, but opinion is otherwise divided on special packaging.

Many MovieNuts have strong feelings on how their DVDs are packaged. Most NormalPeople (rightly) have strong feelings that this is ridiculous.
