...actually, the prank didn't involve Shamik's Wacky Buddy at all, but rather Shamik himself. (Shamik's Wacky Buddy is often confused with ShamikMaitra, while Shamik has since been burned in the TG Firepit). This was a prank, involving a large sign in a PVC pipe frame resting on the covering over Hixon Court, along with Shamik and a traffic cone. The frosh, coming to YouKnowWhat, saw a sign which read "Good Luck Frosh!" Later, a few EastiePeople pulled down the front sign to reveal one behind which read "Hey, Frosh! It's 10:00 a.m. Do you know where your mattress is?"

Also, at some point between 8:00 and 10:00, Shamik fell off the ledge into Hixon Court, and so a chalk outline was drawn around him and he was carried off (back to East Dorm). (note to future pranksters: bring your own chalk! It's almost impossible to find some on short notice during morning classes in the Libra Complex)
