One of EricBrown's salient characteristics is the FourTeslaJouleWackyField? which surrounds both him and LaraMercurio (there have been speculations that she, in fact, "caught" the field from him while they were partnered in ModernLab?). The FourTeslaJouleWackyField? causes ModernLab? experiments to go wrong: it doesn't actually break equipment; it simply generates odd or just plain bad data in ways which even ProfessorEckert is challenged to discover.
