SecondGIG

The second season of the AnimE series of GhostInTheShell - see either wiki-link for further clarification. I should point out that the full name of the second season is ''Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, Second GIG," but more often than not people will just call the first season StandaloneComplex, while the second has become known as SecondGIG. Worth seeing; a pleasantly philosophical AnimE series.

Naturally, this season takes place shortly after the first one. It follows Section 9's attempts to stop the Particularist Eleven, a terrorist group which is subtly prodding groups of impoverished World War III refugees towards a violent revolution. As the investigation unfolds, however, it becomes clear that both the Particularists and the refugees are only pawns in a larger conspiracy.
