StoneCenter

The StoneCenter is this little children's library on the corner of 8th and College, down the way from the Huntley. They check out children's picture books, young adult novels and the spare nonfiction designed for young readers.

The library is run by two awesome ladies who appreciate that all college students need sometimes is a good storytime.

Any member of the academic Claremont community (students, faculty, staff) can procure a free account simply by stopping by while members of the geographic Claremont community (local families) have to pay monies.

They even have a [website], with hours and booklists.

MacKenzieStuart used to volunteer there during of Fall 2005, so you could come visit her on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, but you probably wouldn't have wanted to.
