Well, I guess I've really been slacking off lately. I've hardly touched The Wasabi Project since May. My last attempt at improving the game, was a complete over-haul of the engine. It is twice as fast, does multi player across serial ports, and supports multiple screen resolutions. Unfortunately, I did not port the particle system to my new engine. So here's the break-down (for a more in-depth list of features see below):
- The multi-player version has only one gun (a pistol) and no texture mapped graphics, but you can play it against friends.
- The old version has tons of guns, more sounds and better graphics, but the badguys are really dumb (they are basically moving squares) and the engine could use some tweaking (only has 320x200 resolution).
So, try downloading both!

Here is cute little blurb that discribed how I wanted the finished product to be:
"This game is one of the most intense (not to mention bloodiest) games I have ever attempted. The Wasabi Project uses special algorithms developed by me to give an extremely unique feel and an unsurpassed gameplay. If you think you can handle this game...go ahead and download it."
