Challenge 6 — Getting to Grips Other Systems
Due: Monday, March 3 at 4:15 p.m. (in class)
Last week, you hopefully made a start on exploring other retrocomputing systems. This week, you need to continue that exploration and be ready to give a short demo in class on Monday.
Your Task
Your goal is to surpass your previous work.
Ideal Outcome
You should have a program that is more complex than what you've done before that shows you've developed a deeper understanding of the system you're working with. It would be great to have a working game of some kind, but something that showcases a particular feature of the system, and required some skill and understanding to create, would also be great.
Alternatives
It's possible that the system you chose last week turns out to be a bit of a dead end where it's hard to make progress. If that's the case, you can switch to a different system this week. The Commodore 64 is a good choice, and now has a guide to help you get started, in addition to the sample code you can find on 8 Bit Workshop.
