CS 70

Your Homework Repository

Your work for each assignment lives in a Git repository on GitHub, inside the CS 70 organization. We have already made yours—there is nothing for you to accept or sign up for.

You Need to Be in the Organization

Your repository lives inside the CS 70 GitHub organization, and you can only reach it if you are a member. We add people by hand, using the GitHub username you gave us in Episode 1.

If you have not told us your username yet, do that now—we cannot create anything for you until we have it.

  • Hedgehog speaking

How do I know if I'm in?

  • LHS Cow speaking

If the link below works, you're in. If GitHub tells you the page doesn't exist, that usually means you're not in the organization yet rather than that the repository is missing—GitHub hides what you can't see rather than admitting it's there.

  • Rabbit speaking

    That's a bit rude.

  • LHS Cow speaking

It's deliberate: it means nobody can go fishing for the names of private repositories. It does make it a confusing error message, though, so now you know.

Your Repository

You will get your own copy of it onto the CS 70 server shortly, once you have set the server up—that happens in Getting Down to Work, a couple of pages from here. For now, just check that you can see it.
