Elgin, Benjamin (el'-jin ben'-ja-min) n.

(1976- ) Ben was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1976. At the age of five he moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended Flynn Park Elementary School, Ronald E. McNair school, Brittany Woods Middle School, and University City High School. In 1994 he began attending Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California, where he is currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.

Ben's interests (read: obsessions) are many and diverse. He enjoys and collects anime and manga of all kinds, especially the works of TAKAHASHI, Miyazaki, and Fujishima. He plays computer games such as Marathon II: DURANDAL, which has an intricate plot. He also plays any video games released by Square, notably the Final Fantasy series. He reads science fiction and fantasy novels, especially the works of Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, and Terry Pratchett, to name a few. He doesn't watch much TV, but follows the series Babylon 5 without fail. He also has an interest in music, and plays the piano and the trumpet.

Ben currently maintains several web pages of dubious usefulness, including his own home page, the Akari Home Page, the Inertia Suite Home Page, and this very Encyclopedia.
He has written a Ranma 1/2 fanfic entitled Samurai Sunday (which needs to be revised) and plans to write more works of fiction somtime or other.

This is what Ben's current .sig file looks like:
